Tampa’s Extravaganza Productions, Inc. partnered with TAMCO Foundation for their annual gala dinner event.
Tampa Bay, Fla. – April 2012 – Extravaganza Productions loves to turn events into true “shows”. So, when Jack Thompson, CEO of the TAMCO Foundation called seeking help to turn their annual Grand Slam Fishing Tournament and sponsors gala dinner into a premier event, Extravaganza Productions jumped onboard!
TAMCO is dedicated to helping severely wounded Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and holds an annual fishing tournament to benefit that cause – a cause that Extravaganza wholeheartedly supports. Paul Thomasson, President and CEO of Extravaganza Productions, Inc. said that, “Supporting our wounded military veterans returning from Afghanistan is something everyone wants to do.”
Extravaganza Productions specializes in offering event support, audio/visual and staging tailored made to fit the client’s needs by working together with the venue and utilizing all of the venue’s amenities. In this case, the atmosphere was to be one of an evening of upbeat fun and fellowship with the veterans that was easily accomplished at the beautiful Westshore Yacht Club. The event was attended by over 500 guests including many wounded veterans and their families. In addition to the beautiful setting, great food and entertainment, Extravaganza had a special surprise entertainer to surprise the crowd – Tampa’s own American Idol, Jeremy Rosado!
Rosado took the stage and sang some of his hits from the show and when asked why he volunteered to perform, Rosado replied, “I am proud to be here in support of these great military men and women who have given so much. I am thankful for all they do for us.” After a long audience standing ovation, Rosado was delighted to provide a photo op by posing with many of the guests and soldiers in attendance.
Foundation president, Jeff Gareau was pleased with this year’s hugely successful tournament – the largest attended fishing tournament to date with over 75 fishing boats in the fleet. “It’s our best event attendance yet,” said Jeff.
